Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was on Wednesday night taken into custody again by armed operatives shortly after regaining freedom from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Koikimedia reports that El-Rufai had been detained by the EFCC on Monday over alleged corruption.
He was granted bail at about 8pm on Wednesday.
However, witnesses said he was immediately picked up by armed operatives who had reportedly laid ambush within the premises of the EFCC headquarters.
Sources claimed the operatives were from the State Security Service.
Other sources, however, alleged that the agents were from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which is also said to be investigating the former governor over corruption allegations.
