Iran’s top national security official, Ali Larijani, has declared that the country has no intention of negotiating with the United States.

Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and a close adviser to the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made the statement on X in response to reports that Iran had contacted the US through intermediaries to restart talks.

He accused US President Donald Trump of creating “chaos in the region with his ‘false hopes’” and claimed Trump is now concerned about the safety of American soldiers.

Larijani added that Trump has shifted his slogan from “America First” to “Israel First” and appears willing to deploy troops in support of Israel’s objectives.

Addressing recent attacks, Larijani insisted that Iranian forces “did not start the invasion.” The strike reportedly killed Khamenei along with his daughter, grandchild, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law.

The Israeli army also said the attack claimed the lives of Ali Shamkhani, a top adviser to Khamenei, and General Mohammad Pakpour, head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
