“Chippa United Football Club confirms that Stanley Nwabali has formally submitted a request to depart the club. After careful consideration, the club has agreed to grant his release,” the statement read.
The club thanked the Nigerian international for his contributions since joining in 2022, describing his professionalism, commitment, and dedication as invaluable.
Nwabali also shared an emotional farewell with fans via a video on social media, saying: “It was more than a family. To my lovely teammates, dear coaches, amazing fans, and the best chairman in the world… I leave with a heart full of gratitude and a lifetime of cherished memories. This isn’t just a farewell, it’s an appreciation for every moment you’ve given me.”
The goalkeeper joined Chippa United from NPFL side Katsina United in 2022 and made around 70 appearances for the club.
He is now attracting interest from other Premier Soccer League teams, as well as clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.
