The Ondo State Police Command says Felix Ohagwu has officially assumed duty as the 47th Commissioner of Police in the state.

In a statement released Tuesday in Akure, police spokesperson DSP Abayomi Jimoh said Ohagwu took over from Adebowale Lawal following his recent posting by the Inspector-General of Police.

The statement said the reshuffle is part of efforts to strengthen internal security and improve policing nationwide.

It described the new commissioner as an experienced officer with a long record in crime prevention, intelligence-led policing, and public safety management, noting that he has served in several operational and administrative roles over more than three decades in service.
