The government of Togo has announced that nationals of all African countries will no longer require visas for short stays.
The announcement was made Tuesday in a statement from Togo’s Ministry of Security on its official X account.
Under the new policy, African travellers with valid national passports can enter Togo visa-free for up to 30 days.
The government said the move is aimed at strengthening African integration and improving mobility across the continent.
Authorities added that visitors must still complete an online travel declaration at least 24 hours before arrival to obtain a travel slip.
The reform places Togo among a growing number of African countries easing entry requirements to boost trade, tourism and regional cooperation, with similar policies recently introduced elsewhere on the continent.
