Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of 35-year-old Fatima Abubakar and her six children in Kano.

Kano Police Command spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, identified the suspects as Umar Auwalu, 23, of Sabuwar Gandu Quarters; Isyaku Yakubu, aka ‘Chebe’, 40, of Sagagi Quarters; and Yakubu Abdulaziz, aka ‘Wawo’, 21, of Sabon Gida Sharada Quarters.
CSP Kiyawa said the arrests followed directives from Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, with intelligence-led policing deployed to track the suspects.
He added that the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations, stressing that perpetrators of crimes must face the full weight of the law.
Police Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori praised the officers for their prompt action and commended the public for their support in aiding the investigation.
