Zamfara State Government House Chief of Staff, Moukhtar Lugga, narrowly survived a gun attack on Thursday evening along the Funtua–Gusau road.
The ambush occurred around 6:16 pm near Kucheri, when armed men reportedly surrounded his vehicle and opened fire from multiple directions.
Despite the coordinated attack, neither Lugga nor his driver was hit.
The driver managed to steer the vehicle away, escaping the scene unhurt.
A bullet hole was later spotted on the car’s front windscreen.
Security agencies have yet to release an official statement on the incident.
