Villages including Zarwa, Tafigana, Kpachudu, and Kpasho are being targeted.

Communities in Irigwe Chiefdom, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, have raised security alerts over potential attacks ahead of Easter and the Zrrechi festival.
Reports obtained by DAILY POST on Saturday indicate that villages including Zarwa, Tafigana, Kpachudu, and Kpasho are being targeted.
The warnings follow intelligence and sightings of hundreds of armed men on motorcycles moving towards Mararaban Dare on Friday night, sparking fears of renewed violence in a region historically prone to deadly attacks.
A youth leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the alerts have been reported to security agencies, but no official confirmation has been issued.
He added that communities are taking preventive measures by mobilising local vigilante groups, increasing night patrols, and restricting non-essential movement to protect residents.
Calls to the spokespersons of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) and the Plateau State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful, as messages and calls went unanswered before publication.
