The seized Iranian container vessel, MV Touska, were evacuated to Pakistan as a confidence-building measure by the United States.

Crew members of an Iranian ship seized by the United States for allegedly failing to comply with a US blockade on Iranian ports have been transferred to Pakistan for repatriation, according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a statement on Monday, the ministry said 22 crew members aboard the seized Iranian container vessel, MV Touska, were evacuated to Pakistan as a confidence-building measure by the United States.
The crew arrived in Pakistan on Sunday night and are expected to be handed over to Iranian authorities.
The US-Israeli war on Iran, which began in February, was partially halted about four weeks ago following a fragile ceasefire brokered by Pakistan.
However, tensions have persisted, with Washington and Tehran continuing naval confrontations and seizing commercial vessels.
Pakistan also stated that the Iranian ship would be moved into its territorial waters for repairs before being returned to its owners.
The process is being coordinated with both Iranian and US authorities.
The Foreign Ministry welcomed the development, describing it as a positive step toward building trust, and said Pakistan would continue to support dialogue, diplomacy, and mediation efforts aimed at maintaining regional peace and stability.
There has been no immediate response from Iranian officials. However, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, which is linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported on the announcement.
