We receive messages from the American side, some direct and some through our regional partners, and we respond when necessary,” Araghchi told the Media in an interview broadcast on Wednesday, dubbed into Arabic from Persian.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has stated that there are no ongoing negotiations with the United States and that Tehran has not responded to a reported 15-point plan from Washington aimed at ending the war.

“We receive messages from the American side, some direct and some through our regional partners, and we respond when necessary,” Araghchi told the Media in an interview broadcast on Wednesday, dubbed into Arabic from Persian.

“There are no grounds for negotiations,” he added, while noting that some messages had been exchanged directly with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff.

Iran has been at war with the United States and Israel since February 28, when strikes killed the country’s supreme leader, sparking a conflict that has spread across the region.

Diplomatic efforts involving Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan have recently been launched to try to bring the conflict to an end.

Last week, two senior Pakistani officials said Islamabad had delivered to Iran a 15-point plan outlining U.S. proposals.

Since the conflict began nearly two months ago, Iran has only let a small number of vessels transit the strategic Strait of Hormuz, slowing traffic and disrupting about one‑fifth of the world’s oil shipments.
