The Commission urged the public, media, and political stakeholders to disregard the message entirely.

INEC reminded Nigerians that all official announcements are made only through its verified channels, including its website (inecnigeria.org), verified social media accounts, and official press releases.

Citizens were advised to confirm election-related information through these official sources and avoid sharing unverified content that could cause confusion.

The Commission reiterated its commitment to providing accurate, timely, and transparent information to the public.
