The summons comes amid claims that funds were improperly transferred from personal accounts, raising concerns over governance and accountability at the agency.

The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned the top officials of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) on Thursday at 11:00 AM, sources say, as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities within the commission.

The summons comes amid claims that funds were improperly transferred from personal accounts, raising concerns over governance and accountability at the agency.

A CCB insider told Journalists that OSOPADEC’s Chairman and Secretary, Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, are being questioned in connection with missing funds and disputed transactions.

“It is not a secret,” the source said, describing the process as standard investigative procedure.

Additionally, the Commissioner for Education, Professor Ajibefun, is expected at the Bureau by 1:00 PM. While the details of his invitation remain unclear, sources suggest it may relate to his role on the UNIMED board.

The probe has attracted public attention, particularly because Princess Bayo-Ilawole, recently appointed Permanent Secretary by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is reportedly central to the allegations. Observers note that her management of OSOPADEC’s accounts is at the heart of the investigation.

The development highlights increasing scrutiny over financial practices and internal governance at OSOPADEC, the agency responsible for addressing socio-economic issues in Ondo State’s oil-producing communities.
