KANO, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police have announced the arrest of foreign nationals suspected of sponsoring protests involving the display of the Russian flag in the northern part of the country.
Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Salman Garba disclosed this after a security meeting with Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf on Tuesday.
Garba stated that the police and other security agencies will take firm action against anyone attempting to compromise the state’s security.He also announced a further relaxation of the curfew, now set from 6 am to 6 pm.
The nationwide #Endbadgovernance protests against hardship and hunger took a new turn on Monday, with protesters in some northern states waving the Russian flag and chanting “Tinubu must go.”
