Three people were killed on Saturday after a vehicle struck pedestrians in Oakland, California, fire officials said.
The driver and several others were also injured in the incident.
The crash occurred at about 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of International Boulevard and 85th Avenue, when the vehicle hit both pedestrians and cars, according to a statement from the Oakland Fire Department on social media.
Three of the injured were taken to local hospitals, where two were reported to be in critical condition.
The department added that the driver and another injured person were still at the scene awaiting medical transport.
