IBADAN – A freight train conveying several bags of cement derailed on Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital in South-West Nigeria.
Two coaches out of 15 coaches of the freight train derailed around 9:00 a.m. near Akingbola street, Bodija, Ibadan North Local Government.
A video recorded by our correspondent showed bags of cements on the railway track.
Our correspondent said ten balanced coaches were disconnected from the freight train and were pulled by a second control engine or head.
The bags of cement from the remaining five coaches were trans-loaded into waiting freight trucks by some men.
