The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which took place on April 10.

In a statement, JAMB spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said candidates can access their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration.

The mock exam, which is optional, was introduced to test JAMB’s latest innovations and help candidates familiarise themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment.

Out of 200,113 registered candidates, 73,844 were absent and 88 failed biometric verification.

A total of 126,181 candidates took part in the exam, with results for 115,735 already released.

“Additionally, 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released soon,” the board said.

The board acknowledged delays experienced by some candidates during the mock test, attributing them to new features introduced ahead of the main UTME.

“These challenges are anticipated due to the new features implemented to enhance the overall conduct of the main UTME.

“JAMB appreciates the support of candidates and parents in facilitating a smoother process.

“The mock examination serves as a trial version of the UTME, allowing the Board to test new innovations while helping candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment. Over the years, this initiative has successfully achieved its objectives, addressing noted lapses and equipping candidates with valuable experience for the main examination.

“JAMB urges all candidates to continue making the necessary sacrifices to ensure a better examination experience that effectively serves their interests,” the statement said.
