Terrorists attacked Faruruwa community in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State, killing a Nigerian soldier and a civilian while rustling a large number of cattle.
According to reports, the attack began late Thursday night and continued into the early hours of Friday, lasting until around 5:00 a.m., with the assailants reportedly operating without opposition for several hours.
A security alert from Bakatsine, a security monitoring platform, confirmed the prolonged nature of the attack and underscored the growing security challenges in the area.
The alert stated that the attackers also seized a large number of cattle, dealing a severe blow to the community’s livelihood.
At the time of this report, Kano State authorities and security agencies had not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
