Two individuals who were reportedly abducted in Okeho, Oyo State, have regained their freedom following a joint rescue operation involving operatives of the Force Intelligence Department – Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) and the Iru Ekun Security Network, according to a statement issued by the spokesperson to Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho.
The rescued victims were identified as Alhaji Rasheed Ogun and Pastor Sunday, who were reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Okeho, Oyo State.
According to the statement, the rescue operation was jointly carried out by the Force Intelligence Department – Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), led by ASP Adekoke Amos, in collaboration with the Iru Ekun Security Network under the leadership of Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho. The operation was also said to have involved members of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) and other security personnel.
The spokesperson stated that the coordinated operation resulted in the successful rescue of both victims during an operation conducted on the night of July 13, 2026.
