The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the claim in a statement released on Monday.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has claimed that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is rattled by the overwhelming response to its ongoing membership registration drive.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made the claim in a statement released on Monday.
Morka dismissed as false an allegation by the ADC that civil servants were being compelled to take part in the APC’s electronic registration exercise.
He said the accusation was a deliberate attempt to discredit what he described as a groundbreaking digital overhaul of the party’s membership register.
According to him, the ADC has embarked on a campaign of misinformation, driven by fear over the large number of Nigerians signing up to join the ruling party.
Morka also accused the opposition party of circulating a fake APC membership slip, which he said was falsely linked to a known terrorist, as part of efforts to undermine the registration process.
He stated that the popularity of the Renewed Hope Agenda had encouraged millions of Nigerians to willingly enlist as members of the APC, prompting the party to extend the registration deadline from January 31 to February 8, 2026.
Morka said the success of the e-registration exercise had clearly unsettled the ADC but stressed that this did not excuse the spread of what he called outright falsehoods.
He added that while the ADC continued to trade in misinformation, the APC remained committed to expanding its membership and advancing digital and democratic reforms across the continent.
