President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Mar-a-Lago on Monday, issued strong warnings to both Iran and Hamas.

Trump said that Hamas must disarm in order for the next phase of the Gaza peace plan to move forward. He warned that failure to do so would have severe consequences, saying it would be “horrible for them” and that there would be “hell to pay.”

The president added that countries pushing for the ceasefire agreement would intervene and “wipe them out” if Hamas refused to disarm. He also said Hamas would be given only a very short time to surrender its weapons, a demand that Israel says Hamas is far from meeting.

Speaking about Iran, Trump warned that the United States would “knock the hell out of them” if Tehran attempted to rebuild its military capabilities.

“Now I hear that Iran is trying to build up again, and if they are, we’re going to have to knock them down. We’ll knock them down. We’ll knock the hell out of them,” the president said.

He added, however, that he hoped such action would not be necessary. Trump said he had heard that Iran was interested in reaching a deal and argued that doing so would be the smarter choice. He noted that Iran had previously had an opportunity to make a deal before a major U.S. attack but declined, a decision he said they now regret. He urged Iran to pursue a new agreement.

Earlier this year, the United States struck three of Iran’s nuclear facilities using bunker‑busting bombs and cruise missiles. Trump claimed the attacks “obliterated” the facilities, though it remains unclear how much Iran’s nuclear program was actually set back.

On Monday, Trump also said he would support an Israeli strike on Iran if Tehran continues to pursue ballistic missile development and nuclear weapons. Referring to the two issues, he said action would be taken “absolutely” on missiles and “immediately” on nuclear activity.
