Russian forces launched a drone and missile attack on Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, killing at least two people and wounding six others.

The attack damaged residential buildings in the Pecherskyi and Dniprovskyi districts.

This happened as Ukraine and US officials were discussing a US-proposed plan to end the war in Geneva.

The Ukrainian State Emergency Service reported that 18 people were rescued, including three children. The attack has caused disruptions to power and water supplies in the city.

A nighttime attack in Kyiv resulted in two fatalities, six injuries, and 18 people rescued, including three children, according to reports. Hours later, another attack on Brovarsky, Bila Tserkva, and Vyshgorod districts left a 14-year-old child wounded. Russia hasn’t commented on the incident yet.

These attacks come after US and Ukrainian representatives held talks in Geneva, Switzerland, discussing Washington’s 28-point plan, which Kyiv and European allies saw as favoring Russia’s interests.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned in his nightly address that the Geneva talks have made progress, reducing the initial 28 points and incorporating some favorable elements. However, sensitive issues remain, which he’ll discuss with US President Donald Trump.
