US Congressman Riley M. Moore has condemned the attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School, Maga, in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, saying the assault took place in a predominantly Christian community.

KoikiMedia gathered that gunmen invaded the school in the early hours of Monday, killing the Vice Principal and kidnapping about 25 female students.

In a post on his official X account, Moore described the incident as part of a broader pattern of violence he believes targets Christians in Nigeria.

He urged the Nigerian authorities to take stronger action against what he called “widespread violence”.

According to him, “Please join me in praying for the 25 girls who have been kidnapped and for the repose of the soul of their vice principal who was killed.

“Although all the details of this terrible attack are not yet known, it has been confirmed that it occurred in a Christian enclave in Northern Nigeria.

“The Nigerian government must do more to end the rampant violence.”
