Davido, Gospel Singers Light Up Bamidele Abiodun’s 60th Birthday Celebration

Ogun State First Lady, Bamidele Abiodun, celebrated her 60th birthday on July 16, 2026, with a thanksgiving service and a grand reception attended by family, friends, political leaders, business executives, and other notable guests.

The event, held at the Royal Box Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, highlighted her contributions to public service, humanitarian work, and advocacy for women and children.

Mrs. Abiodun appeared in an elegant traditional outfit, while Governor Dapo Abiodun complemented her look in a white agbada and beige cap.

Guests warmly welcomed the couple as they arrived, and the atmosphere became lively when they danced to a gospel song performed by Dare Justified.

The celebration also featured performances from gospel artistes including Yinka Alaseyori, Mercy Chinwo, Tolu Ijogun, and saxophonist Beejaysax.

Afrobeats star Davido was one of the major attractions of the evening. Arriving in his Lamborghini Revuelto, he later thrilled guests with hit songs such as Fall and Aye, prompting many attendees to sing and dance along.

Among the dignitaries present were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his wife, Ibijoke. Sanwo-Olu praised Mrs. Abiodun’s humanitarian efforts and described her as a woman whose work has positively impacted many lives.

In a birthday message shared on social media, Governor Abiodun described his wife as a dependable partner, compassionate humanitarian, and pillar of strength.

He praised her commitment to family and service and prayed for continued good health, grace, and fulfilment.

Over the years, Bamidele Abiodun has become widely recognised for promoting women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, economic inclusion, and support for vulnerable groups across Ogun State.
