Why Tinubu’s Supporters Say He Deserves a Second Term

A faith-based organisation, Victorious Prayer Network, has given reasons why it believes President Bola Tinubu should be re-elected for a second term in 2027.

The organisation said some of the President’s policies and projects since he assumed office in 2023 showed that his administration was committed to improving the lives of Nigerians, particularly people in the Niger Delta.

The group has also started holding weekly prayers for Tinubu’s re-election.

Its founder, Evangelist Victoria Agori, said the decision was inspired by her faith and by what she described as achievements recorded by the administration.

Speaking during the organisation’s weekly prayer meeting in Port Harcourt, Agori highlighted what she described as improved peace in the Niger Delta, greater stability at the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Federal Government’s efforts against insecurity.

She particularly mentioned the stability at the NDDC, saying the agency had experienced continuity under Tinubu.

She also praised projects such as solar-powered lighting initiatives across the Niger Delta.

Agori further cited the completion of the Bodo-Bonny Road in Rivers State, saying the project had made transportation easier and safer for residents of Bonny.

According to her, people previously depended heavily on waterways, where cases of piracy and kidnapping had been reported.

She also praised the reconstruction of the Eleme section of the East-West Road, noting that the road had suffered years of deterioration and had contributed to accidents and significant loss of productive time.

According to Agori, the Tinubu administration approved funding for the reconstruction, with one lane already completed.

She called on Nigerians to continue praying for the President and the country, saying citizens should support efforts that could promote peace and development rather than constantly criticising the administration.

The founder added that the prayer sessions would be expanded to include religious leaders from different denominations and faith backgrounds.

Another member of the organisation, Elder Harrison Princewill, said the group had been praying for the peace and progress of Nigeria since its establishment and remained committed to the cause.

The organisation’s position represents its own assessment of the Tinubu administration and its support for his potential 2027 re-election bid.
