I am seriously concerned that my Yoruba people seem to be rearing for a war over the ongoing proposal for Restructuring or Regionalism.

I therefore hereby plead with my people against such a war. It is totally needles.

Let us all remember that, for us Yoruba, demands for Restructuring or a return to our Region of the 1950s has been going on for many decades. It is far from new.

Though it is a reasonable demand, yet we have never achieved even the slightest progress in it, because the Fulani political elite are resolutely opposed to it.

Because they are desperate today, they are more resolutely opposed.   I know no elderly  politically notable Yoruba  person who has never raised a voice for Restructuring or Regionalism. We may not give it up, but we should not place too heavy a hope on it. And, definitely, we must avoid dividing into warring factions over it.It is not worth such a serious national bleeding among us Yoruba people. I urge all sides among us to  sheath and put off the sword.

Instead of fighting a meaningless war, let us all put more energy into what we have been doing  to advance our Self-determination Struggle so far in just over four years. Those of us who have been engaging in awareness campaigns, or praying for God’s support to our cause, or organizing or holding meetings, or speaking loudly on the social media, or taking our Yoruba cause to foreign governments and dignitaries, should do more now than you have been doing so far.

We are fighting to free our splendid Yoruba Nation from the chaos-wracked,  corruption-ridden and poverty-generating country of Nigeria, a country increasingly despised and rejected in the wide world. We have no time or leisure to fight over anything concerning Nigeria.

Our chances of freeing our nation are getting better and better. A great destiny beckons for our nation. This is what we should focus upon.

Please don’t fight over Restructuring. Even if Restructuring happens, it will give our Yoruba nation anything better than before. We will still need to continue the fight for Restructuring and still need to pray that Nigeria’s resistance to us should break down. Meanwhile, we shall be co-citizens with the Fulani in Nigeria and they will still have the  constitutional freedom to enter our homeland at will to kill, maim, rape, destroy and kidnap.

Let us keep up, and add more energy to, our Self-determination Struggle.
Nigeria is weakening manifestly. This is no time to fight among us and weaken our resolve. It is a time to brace up, hold hands together and push down the obstacles.

GOD BLESS THE YORUBA NATION.
YORUBA NATION NOW. NO LOOKING BACK.
NO GOING BACK.
