Popular Nigerian dancer and socialite, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is scheduled to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London over an alleged assault.

The court confirmed the development on Tuesday in response to an inquiry by PUNCH Online concerning the alleged sexual assault case involving the entertainer.

According to the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, the case has been listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.

Baker, however, said the exact time and courtroom would not be available until the day before the hearing.

He wrote, “OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.

“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks.”

The confirmation followed a claim by the founder of the community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as Oluomo of Derby, that Poco Lee was currently on remand in a UK prison.

Kuti had said Poco Lee’s next court appearance was scheduled for September 15, adding that the dancer would be expected to enter a plea.

“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” he said.

Kuti explained that a plea hearing is typically the stage at which an accused person indicates whether they are pleading guilty or not guilty to the charges.

He added that he intended to attend the proceedings as part of his support for Nigerians involved in legal matters in the UK.

The Snaresbrook Crown Court’s confirmation has now established that Poco Lee’s case is officially listed for proceedings on September 15, 2026.
