The case, involving the PDP and marked SC/CV/166/2026, as well as that of the African Democratic Congress, SC/CV/180/2026, is scheduled for judgment at 2pm.

A factional leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tanimu Turaki, on Thursday arrived at the Supreme Court ahead of judgment in a suit challenging a Court of Appeal ruling which nullified a party exercise for breaching a subsisting court order.
The case, involving the PDP and marked SC/CV/166/2026, as well as that of the African Democratic Congress, SC/CV/180/2026, is scheduled for judgment at 2pm.
The legal battle centres on internal leadership disputes within the parties and efforts to overturn the appellate court’s decision.
Meanwhile, a Federal High Court had on Wednesday restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from recognising congresses conducted by the David Mark-led faction of the ADC, pending the resolution of the party’s internal crisis.
