A disturbing incident has shaken the community of Oro in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, as a youth from the region has raised an alarm over escalating insecurity.
According to a report from one of the concerned youths in Kwara, a graduate of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Mohammed Jamiu Abdulganiyu Olugbon, who had just completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Saturday, 31st May 2025, was killed the same day he returned home to Agbeola Town, Oro.
Tragically, three other members of his family were abducted during the attack, reportedly carried out by suspected Fulani kidnappers. As of the time of this report, the kidnapped individuals have not been found, and the abductors are said to be demanding a ₦10 million ransom for their release.

He stressed that action must be taken within 72 hours to restore security and dignity to the area.
In an emotionally charged outburst, the youth warned of possible retaliation by angry youths in Igbomina land, threatening dire consequences for traditional leaders and Fulani settlers if no concrete steps are taken. He warned that even the Emir of Ilorin may not be spared from the fallout if the current insecurity persists.
He concluded by invoking a spiritual oath, calling on Olohun Eledumare (Almighty God) as a witness to his plea and frustration.
