Oyedele replaces Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, now redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State

President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, as Minister of State for Finance.

Oyedele replaces Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka, now redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State.

Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, said on Tuesday that Tinubu conveyed Oyedele’s nomination to the Senate for confirmation in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

A native of Ikaram in Akoko, Ondo State, Oyedele, 50, is an economist, accountant, and public policy expert.

He led the comprehensive overhaul of Nigeria’s tax system through the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms.
