“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” These ancient words of wisdom ring truer today than ever as the Yoruba Nation Movement stands unwavering in its resolve to achieve self-determination despite growing challenges.

In the face of growing tension and oppression, many had anticipated a grand, singular mega rally an event that would boldly announce the readiness of the Yoruba people to break free from the shackles of Nigeria’s system. But with careful consideration, leaders of the movement delayed such an action not out of fear or unreadiness but out of responsibility to protect lives and avoid exposing peaceful agitators to the brutality of the Nigerian state.

The recent rally, therefore, served a greater purpose: to awaken and sensitize the Yoruba people who remain indifferent or unaware of the urgent threat looming over their existence. This is no ordinary political agitation; this is a battle for survival for the preservation of identity, culture, and life itself.

At the heart of this struggle is the undeniable truth that the government of Nigeria has failed the Yoruba people. Instead of delivering justice, development, and safety, the ruling class has turned to looting the nation’s wealth for selfish gain. Their actions rob the future of Yoruba children, leaving them with hopelessness and despair.

This dismal reality has forced countless young men and women to flee Yorubaland, risking perilous journeys in search of survival in foreign lands regardless of the dangers they may face. This desperate exodus paints a grim picture of a homeland in distress.

But the time for passivity has passed.

The leadership of the Yoruba Nation Movement now calls upon every son and daughter of Oduduwa to rise in unity and purpose. The mission is clear: to spread the message of freedom, to ignite the spirit of emancipation in those still slumbering, and to resist the erosion of a once-proud people’s future.

This is not a time for retreat, but for courageous action. It is a call to every Yoruba soul to stand firm and proclaim with one voice: the Yoruba Nation shall be free.

The destiny of future generations depends on the choices made today. The flame of freedom has been litlet every hand fan it until sovereignty is won.
