The Take It Back Movement has commenced a nationwide protest in Lagos to decry the growing economic hardship in Nigeria.

This comes despite a police warning that the June 12 demonstrations could be hijacked by thugs.

Protesters converged at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota to express their grievances.

Security operatives were present at the venue to maintain order.

The protesters are calling for an end to the worsening insecurity and harsh economic conditions across the country.
