Olubadan Commends Tinubu Over Success in Fight Against Kidnapping

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has praised President Bola Tinubu for his administration’s efforts in tackling kidnapping, describing the achievements as a significant breakthrough in addressing insecurity in Nigeria.

During a visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Ladoja applauded the Federal Government’s handling of the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

He said the government’s decision not to pay ransom demonstrated strong leadership and renewed public confidence in security agencies.

The monarch urged the President to maintain security operations in the forest areas connecting Oyo and Niger states, stressing the need for continuous surveillance to prevent criminal elements from returning.

His comments followed the successful rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers, who were freed after spending about 56 days in captivity.

Security agencies reportedly arrested eight suspects and killed several others during the operation.
