Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has stated that any violent incidents during her homecoming visit to her hometown should be attributed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi Governor Usman Ododo, and former Governor Yahaya Bello.

Natasha, who expressed her excitement to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr with her constituents, made the remarks despite the state government and police imposing a ban on rallies in the state ahead of her visit.

KoikiaMedia reports that in a post on her official Facebook page, Natasha said, “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our PEACEFUL Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”

Her statement followed a request by the Kogi police command for her to cancel the planned Eid-el-Fitr rally in the central senatorial district.

The senator’s media team, however, dismissed rumours of a cancellation, issuing a statement on Monday after the Kogi government imposed the ban on rallies and public gatherings citing “credible security reports.”
