Israeli forces have continued intense bombardments across Gaza, killing at least 27 Palestinians on Sunday, including 12 in a single airstrike on a home in Gaza City.

The attack comes just a day after 78 people were killed in similar strikes.

Despite ongoing violence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has authorised negotiators to travel to Qatar for indirect ceasefire talks with Hamas.

However, his office declared Hamas’s proposed changes to the 60-day ceasefire plan as “unacceptable.”

In the northern West Bank, a Palestinian man was killed and two others wounded during an Israeli raid on Salem town near Nablus.

The Israeli army stormed two homes, sparking confrontations.

One of the injured, a 62-year-old, was hospitalised while another resident was arrested.

In southern Gaza, Israeli forces have reportedly blown up a school in Rafah.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli military has regularly destroyed civilian buildings using planted explosives.

Meanwhile, in Gaza City’s Tuffah neighbourhood, rescue teams recovered the dismembered remains of bombing victims—including children—from beneath rubble.

The Civil Defence said the victims were targeted while seeking water and food or sheltering in tents.

Palestinian authorities say over 700 people have been killed while attempting to collect aid since the war began.

Video evidence shows Israeli forces firing at civilians gathered near aid sites operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

The Hamas-run Government Media Office has condemned the involvement of US-based Boston Consulting Group in the aid effort, accusing it of aiding “forced displacement under a humanitarian disguise.”

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticised the recent government approval to allow aid into northern Gaza, calling it a “grave mistake” that benefits Hamas.

He accused the military of defying cabinet directives and hinted at reassessing his position in the coalition.

In regional developments, Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed to have launched over 130 attacks on Israel using drones and missiles in solidarity with Gaza.

A recent maritime incident off Yemen’s coast involving small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades was also reported by the UK Maritime Trade Operations.

Netanyahu is expected to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington to discuss hostage negotiations and the broader ceasefire effort.

The Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, stated Netanyahu’s mission was to “bring all our hostages home.”

Al Jazeera continues to provide live updates as the conflict escalates and diplomatic efforts intensify.
