Iran Accuses US of Striking Civilian Infrastructure as Conflict Escalates

Iran has accused the United States of targeting critical civilian infrastructure after a seventh consecutive night of airstrikes across the country, further intensifying the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

According to Iranian officials, attacks on a desalination plant in Jask, southern Iran, damaged key water facilities and left about 10,000 residents in 20 villages without access to water.

Iranian authorities described the strikes as attacks on civilian infrastructure.

In response, Iran launched a new wave of drones and missiles targeting locations in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Kuwaiti authorities reported damage to power and water facilities, while Bahrain activated air raid sirens and advised residents to seek shelter.

The latest escalation follows continued US military operations against Iranian targets. The US Central Command said its strikes were aimed at military facilities, surveillance sites, weapons storage locations, and maritime infrastructure.

Tensions have continued to rise since US President Donald Trump declared that a previous peace agreement with Iran was no longer in effect and reimposed measures against Iranian maritime and oil activities.

Iran has condemned the attacks as violations of international law, while the United States maintains that its operations are directed at security and military objectives.
