Family, Friends, and Associates Pay Tribute as Young Father Dies After Brief Illness

The Ifelodun Group of the Yoruba Nation movement has been thrown into mourning following the death of one of its members, Faameewo Olaoluwa Apesin, who reportedly passed away after a brief illness.

According to information made available, the deceased had been ill for approximately one week before his condition deteriorated.

He was reportedly taken to a private hospital for medical attention but was unable to receive treatment there. According to those close to the family, the hospital was reportedly not providing services at the time. He was subsequently transferred to the General Hospital, Oke-Oyi, Ilorin, Kwara State, where medical personnel attended to him and placed him on oxygen support due to the severity of his condition.

Despite efforts by healthcare professionals to stabilize him, Faameewo Olaoluwa Apesin sadly passed away during the night between July 14 and July 15, 2026.

He was 37 years old.

His death has left family members, friends, colleagues, and members of the Ifelodun Group in deep sorrow.

The late Faameewo is survived by his wife and an infant son who is less than one year old.

As news of his passing continues to spread, tributes have poured in from members of the Yoruba Nation community and well-wishers, who described him as a committed member whose untimely death is a painful loss.

The Ifelodun Group and members of the wider Yoruba Nation movement have extended their heartfelt condolences to his wife, child, immediate family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult period.
