Glo, Samsung Expand Partnership with Galaxy Z Fold8 Launch in Nigeria

Globacom and Samsung have reinforced their partnership with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 smartphones in Nigeria.

The devices were unveiled at a masterclass held at Gloworld in Victoria Island, Lagos. During the event, Samsung presented Globacom with its Foldable Legacy Award in recognition of the telecom company’s support for the growth of Samsung’s foldable smartphone range in the country.

Customers who buy either device from any Gloworld outlet nationwide will receive 18GB of free Glo data, a Glo eSIM with a premium number, and additional monthly bonus data for six months.

The package also includes benefits worth up to ₦1 million, including Samsung Care+ coverage and flexible payment options.

He said the Galaxy Z Fold8 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, delivering improved speed, advanced AI features and enhanced multitasking performance.

Gloworld Director Mohamed Rabie said the launch represents another milestone in the long-standing relationship between the two companies.

He added that customers can pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 at Gloworld outlets nationwide until August 20, with exclusive offers and benefits attached.

The event featured live demonstrations of the new smartphones, giving guests the opportunity to experience Samsung’s latest foldable technology and AI-powered tools.

Both companies said the initiative reflects their commitment to providing innovative products and better digital experiences for customers across Nigeria.
