France’s Exosens to Triple Thermal Camera Production for Defence Drones

French defence technology company Exosens has announced plans to triple its thermal camera production capacity in 2026 to meet rising demand for drone and counter-drone systems.

The company reported strong financial results for the first half of the year, with revenue increasing by 15.3% and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rising by 18.3% to €83.6 million.

Exosens also raised its full-year forecast, saying it now expects revenue and adjusted EBITDA to reach the upper end of its projected ranges.

The company plans to invest heavily in expanding manufacturing capacity across Europe and the United States, with capital expenditure expected to account for about 9% of its 2026 revenue.

According to Exosens, demand for advanced imaging technologies used in autonomous defence platforms is growing rapidly.

Chief Executive Officer Jerome Cerisier said the expansion would help the company meet increasing customer demand while strengthening its position as a strategic supplier to defence manufacturers and autonomous systems developers.

The move reflects the growing importance of thermal imaging and night-vision technology in modern military operations, particularly in the fast-expanding drone and counter-drone market.
