إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون
With total submission to the will of Allah, I accept the passing of my dear childhood friend, Alhaja Salmot Aderonke Lawal, who departed this world today. What a day to leave this transient and imperfect world.
Our journey of friendship began in 1964 at Ahmadiyya Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan—61 years of companionship, bound by shared memories and unwavering bonds. I am grateful to Allah that we remained friends until her final breath.
Affectionately known as Lawali in our circle, writing these words brings a deep mix of emotions. However, I find solace in the mercy of Allah.

May the Almighty accept her return, illuminate her grave, forgive her shortcomings, and grant her eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus. May He also grant strength and comfort to her family, friends, and the community she left behind as we bear this irreplaceable loss.
Goodnight, Iya Qudus.
A Son’s Prayer for His Mother: In Loving Memory of Alhaja Ronke Salmot Lawal
With complete submission to the will of Allah (SWT), we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Alhaja Ronke Salmot Lawal, on 28.02.25.
May Allah (SWT) expand and illuminate her grave, welcome her with His mercy, and grant her a peaceful state in Barzakh.
May she be among those who will find shade under His throne on the Day of Judgment, spared from hardship and granted her book in her right hand.
May she drink from the blessed fountain of our Prophet (SAW), be forgiven of all her sins, and be among those admitted into Paradise. May she be honored with the ultimate blessing of seeing the face of Allah (SWT) and be joyfully reunited with family and loved ones in Jannah.
Amin.
Ibrahim Lawal (Son), for the Family
