According to preliminary findings, the incident happened when traders at the yard were handling a suspicious metallic object believed to be an explosive device. The object reportedly detonated while being cut, instantly causing chaos and a fatality on the spot.
An eyewitness who spoke exclusively to Koikimedia gave a chilling account of the moment. “It was like a bomb went off a loud, earth-shaking sound. People ran in all directions. We later found out that someone working on the object didn’t survive. It didn’t look like ordinary scrap,” the witness said, still shaken by the experience.
