APC Promises to Deliver on Campaign Commitments, Yari Assures Nigerians

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul’aziz Yari, has assured Nigerians that the ruling party will fulfil the promises it made during the 2023 election campaign as it prepares to seek President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Yari made the statement on Sunday after returning to Nigeria through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, where he was welcomed by party supporters, associates and well-wishers following his appointment as Director-General of the APC campaign council.

Speaking to journalists at the airport, Yari said the APC remained committed to its promises and would continue working to deliver on its commitments to Nigerians.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure a second term in office in 2027, urging Nigerians and APC supporters to continue backing the President and the party.

Yari, who represents Zamfara West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said the large number of supporters who gathered to receive him demonstrated their confidence in the President and the APC.

Addressing the crowd, he thanked them for their support and prayed for wisdom and strength for Tinubu to lead the country.

Yari also expressed optimism that the APC would remain in government beyond Tinubu’s second term, calling on party members to strengthen the party’s structures across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council was formally announced on Saturday as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming election.

Yari brings significant political experience to the campaign team, having previously served as Governor of Zamfara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

The APC, which has controlled the Federal Government since 2015, is expected to make the performance and policies of the Tinubu administration a major focus of its 2027 campaign.

The party will also face opposition groups seeking to form alliances and challenge its control of the presidency.

As the campaign council takes shape, Yari is expected to play a key role in coordinating the APC’s presidential campaign, mobilising party structures nationwide and communicating the administration’s policies and achievements to voters ahead of the 2027 election.
