Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has taken over as the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Dalori, who is the Deputy National Chairman (North), was asked by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to step into the role in an acting capacity.

This arrangement will remain in place until the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), which is being urgently convened, appoints a substantive chairman.

The development was announced in a statement issued Friday night by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the statement, Ganduje resigned with immediate effect to focus on “urgent and important personal matters.”

With Dalori now leading the party, the APC reaffirmed its commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and maintaining party unity.

The party also thanked Ganduje for his “invaluable contributions and distinguished record of service” and wished him success in his future endeavours.
