Lagos – A two-storey building has collapsed on Amusu Street, in Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State, south-western Nigeria, local news outlets reported on Monday, with an official saying no casualty was recorded.

The building reportedly collapsed on Monday morning as people were about to start their business activities for the day.

There was no casualty in the building collapse that happened at about 8:45 a.m., a spokesman for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) told News Agency of Nigeria.

A video of the building as it went down was posted on social media.

“LASEMA Response Teams in Search and Rescue Operation is at a self-collapsed building on Amusu Street, Baale Bus Stop, Orile Iganmu. No casualties and updates to follow,” said the LASEMA official, identified as Nosa Okunbor.
