Lagos – A man in his early 30s has been detained for allegedly defiling a four-year-old girl in Nigeria’s Lagos State, police said Tuesday.
Wahaab Ibrahim, 32, reportedly committed the crime on Sept. 3 in the Ibeju-Lekki area of the state.
The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin said that a complanant reported the case at the Elemoro Division and it was transfered to the Gender Unit in Ikeja.
“The complainant reported that, while she was away, her four- year old niece was sexually assaulted by the suspect,” Hundeyin said. “The police visited the scene and recovered and registered some exhibits.”
