Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain will host Barcelona on Tuesday, while Bayern Munich welcome Arsenal on Wednesday as the UEFA Champions League enters its third round of league-phase matches.

The fixtures, scheduled for October 20 and 21, will also see Manchester City face AEK Athens, Liverpool take on Villarreal and Real Madrid meet RB Leipzig.

PSG will welcome Barcelona to the Parc des Princes on Tuesday at 8pm Nigerian time, hoping to build on their 4-2 victory over Manchester City in their previous Champions League outing on October 14.

Barcelona, meanwhile, will seek to maintain their winning start to the competition after recording victories in their opening two matches, including a 4-1 away win against Galatasaray.

The encounter will also see Barcelona face their former manager, Luis Enrique, who is currently in charge of PSG.

Both sides will be looking to secure maximum points as they continue their campaigns in the competition’s league phase.

On Wednesday, Bayern Munich will host Arsenal in another major fixture scheduled for 8pm Nigerian time.

Arsenal head into the match after recording a 3-0 victory over Lille, while Bayern Munich will be seeking to return to winning ways following a 3-3 draw away to Viking.

The encounter will provide both clubs with an opportunity to strengthen their positions in the league standings as they pursue qualification for the knockout stages.

Other matches scheduled for Tuesday include Fenerbahçe against Slavia Prague, Sabah versus Borussia Dortmund, Roma against Slovan Bratislava, Porto versus PSV Eindhoven and Napoli against Bodø/Glimt.

Manchester City will host AEK Athens, while Liverpool welcome Villarreal. Stuttgart will also face Atlético Madrid.

Wednesday’s fixtures will see Como take on Manchester United, Lille face Galatasaray and Aston Villa play Viking.

Club Brugge will meet Lens, while Inter Milan face Shakhtar Donetsk. Real Madrid will host RB Leipzig, Real Betis will take on Feyenoord, and Sporting CP will play LASK.

All times are Nigerian time, with Tuesday’s opening matches scheduled for 5:45pm and the remaining fixtures kicking off at 8pm. Wednesday’s programme will follow the same schedule.

The Champions League league phase features 36 teams competing across eight matchdays, with clubs seeking to secure favourable positions to advance to the knockout stages.

The league phase is scheduled to conclude in January 2027, when the final standings will determine the teams that qualify for the next stage of the competition.
