White House Unveils ‘Trump TV’ Amid Media Access Dispute

The White House has launched a 24/7 streaming channel dedicated to President Donald Trump and activities of his administration.

The channel, titled “TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station”, features presidential remarks, announcements, previously recorded videos and other highlights from the Trump administration.

The White House announced the launch on its official X account on Monday, saying the stream would be updated in real time.

“IT’S LIVE. Trump TV is Streaming Now. 24/7, updated in real time, with top past moments, announcements, and the latest and greatest from the administration all in one place.

“Not every big moment has made it on your tv, now it can,” the White House said.

The stream is available through the White House website and its YouTube channel, giving the administration a direct outlet to distribute video content to the public.

According to the White House, the channel will feature the administration’s “biggest moments”, including major speeches, remarks and other official events.

The launch comes as the Trump administration faces an ongoing dispute with several major US news organisations over access to the White House.

Trump recently barred CNN, Politico and MS NOW from White House grounds, leading the three organisations to sue the administration over the decision.

ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC later suspended their shared White House pool coverage in solidarity with the affected outlets.

The White House has defended its approach to media access, while Trump has criticised coverage of his administration that he considers unfair or “fake news”.

The first Trump TV broadcast included previously recorded footage, including Trump’s July 3 address at Mount Rushmore, rather than a live presidential event.

The new channel allows the White House to distribute footage of Trump and his administration directly to viewers, reducing its reliance on traditional television networks to reach audiences.
