2027 Presidency: 600 Supporters March in Lagos for Tinubu

About 600 supporters of the All Progressives Congress under the banner of the Azerbaijan Movement have staged a solidarity march in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State in support of President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The mobilisation exercise attracted APC members, women leaders, youths and other party supporters who participated in the procession through major streets in the local government area.

The march commenced at Elliot and proceeded through several streets and communities in Ifako-Ijaiye before ending at Nationwide, with participants displaying their support for the APC and its candidates.

The coordinator of the Azerbaijan Movement, Abayomi Omotayo, said the exercise was organised to demonstrate the group’s commitment to the APC and strengthen its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Omotayo said the movement would continue to engage residents and mobilise support for the party, particularly for Tinubu ahead of the presidential election.

He said, “The walk is to demonstrate our support for the APC and its candidates, and to show our commitment to grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

“We are committed to mobilising our people to support President Tinubu as we approach the 2027 presidential election.”

The coordinator also described the Tinubu administration’s policies as initiatives that, in the group’s view, were laying the foundation for sustainable development.

He therefore called on residents of Ifako-Ijaiye to support the administration and the APC candidates contesting various positions in the 2027 elections.

“We believe the policies of President Tinubu are laying the foundation for sustainable development, and we are calling on residents to support his administration,” Omotayo said.

The movement also declared its support for Adewale Adedeji, the APC candidate for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly election.

According to Omotayo, Adedeji had made contributions to the constituency through initiatives focused on education, infrastructure development and empowerment.

He said the candidate’s activities had helped strengthen his relationship with residents and urged voters to consider his record ahead of the election.

“Adewale Adedeji has continued to impact the constituency through educational, infrastructure and empowerment initiatives.

We believe his efforts deserve the support of the people,” he said.
Omotayo further appealed to APC members and supporters across Ifako-Ijaiye to remain united and intensify their grassroots mobilisation as the 2027 elections approach.

He said the movement would continue to work across the six wards in the local government area to engage residents and promote the party’s candidates.

“We must remain united and continue our mobilisation across all six wards. Sustained grassroots engagement will be important,” the coordinator stated.

The march forms part of the growing political mobilisation by supporters of various parties and political groups ahead of the 2027 general elections.
