Nigerian Muslims preparing for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage will pay between N7.56 million and N7.88 million, depending on their departure zone, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has announced.

According to NAHCON, pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola zone will pay N7,560,822, while those travelling from the Northern Zone will pay N7,672,822.

Pilgrims from the Southern Zone will pay the highest fare of N7,882,822.

The commission said the approved fares were determined after consultations with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and key service providers in Saudi Arabia.

It added that prevailing exchange rates and the cost of services for the pilgrimage were considered in setting the fares.

Pilgrims who have already paid the initial N5 million deposit will need to settle the remaining balance.

The outstanding amount is N2,560,822 for Maiduguri/Yola pilgrims, N2,672,822 for those in the Northern Zone and N2,882,822 for pilgrims from the Southern Zone.

NAHCON directed new intending pilgrims to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through banks participating in the approved Hajj Savings Scheme.

The commission also announced September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for states to complete the upload of pilgrims’ biometric information on the Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

States are expected to complete payment of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026.

NAHCON warned that the deadlines would be strictly enforced, with no extension expected.

It said timely submission of biometric data and remittance of funds were essential for data synchronisation and the allocation of pilgrimage seats.

The commission further warned that failure to meet the requirements could result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.

It therefore urged intending pilgrims and relevant state authorities to complete their registration, biometric documentation and payments before the stipulated deadlines.
