Ibadan, Oyo State — On Saturday following reports of a rescue operation that led to the recovery of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12-year-old twin sons from suspected kidnappers.
Kokimedia gathered that, the rescue operation reportedly took place near Loire Hotel in Ibadan, where security operatives, alongside men said to be working with Yoruba Nation activist Dr. Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, intercepted a Toyota Corolla vehicle allegedly being used by the suspects.
Reports indicate that the operation resulted in an exchange during which two of the kidnapped victims reportedly lost their lives. Several suspected kidnappers were said to have been apprehended at the scene and subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.
