The timetable was contained in a schedule of activities signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, and made available to journalists on Sunday by the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

The ADC pegged the cost of its presidential expression of interest and nomination forms at N100 million, while governorship forms will cost N50 million.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed January 16, 2027, for the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The commission also scheduled February 6, 2027, for governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections.

INEC stated that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, will hold between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

It added that campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections will commence on August 19, 2026.

Campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections are to begin on September 9, 2026.

According to the timetable, the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10.

Submission of completed forms is expected between May 11 and May 13.

Screening of aspirants will take place from May 14 to May 15.

The party will publish screening results on May 17, while appeals have been scheduled for May 18 and May 19.

The final list of cleared aspirants will be released on May 20.

Primary elections will commence on May 21, with contests for state Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate seats to be conducted simultaneously at the ward level.

In a move aimed at inclusivity, the party approved a 50 per cent discount for youths.

Women and persons with disabilities are to enjoy a 25 per cent reduction.
